•Store sheep were entered in fairlv large numbers, ami me demand was good for sound-inoutlied ewes and forward condition lambs. Baconeis made 43s to 30s for small, and 30s to 65s for larger. Porker* brought :ils to 44s for medium, and up to 30s for heavy weights—equal to from 3d to 3V s d peril). Stores made from 12s to itjs for small, and 35s to 43s for larger, while weaners brought H»s to 12s. AUCKLAND STOCK REPORT.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company report:— Horses—On Friday, at the Durham yards, horaea were yarded in large numbers and sold under keen competition. Heavy draughts sold at from £32 l'Js to £4b'; medium do., £2ll 5s to £35 3s. The unbroken draught colts and lillies from Motiti island sold at from £23 to £44 10s; hacks ami light harness horses £<i 10s to £23 ss: Courtland waggon! £3O 15s: spring trap, t1.3. On Wednesday we held our usual monthly sale at the l'apakura yards. Dairy cows sold at from £4 10s to £S: empty do., £2 iUb to £3 12s (id; grown steers, €4 10s to £5 10s; two- to three-year-old do., £2 2s to £3 8s; calves, 17s to £1 Bs. Beef, of which there was a very large yarding, sold at Newmarket rates.
Cattle—There was a full yarding of stock of all descriptions at Newmarket on Tuesday. Dairv cows sold at from £4 10s to £8; empty do., £1 17s lid to £2 15s; calves, 15s to £1 Bs. Reef was yarded in full numbers and sold it last week's rates. Oxen realised to 21s per 1001b.; cows, 17s to llXs per 1001b. Steers sold at from £5 15s to £!J 12s lid; cows, £3 His to t'li 17s Oil.
Sheep were yarded in average numbers at Newmarket on Tuesday and sold under steady conqietition. Wethers realised from His ikl to tl 2s 3d; store do., I3s Bd to His; fat ewes, 14s to 17s Od: store do., os to 8s lid. were in full supply, and well-fatted realised 10s to 17s 3d; other sort*. 4s lid to 85,0.1.
Pigs—Porkers. £1 7s to £1 19s 6d; weaners. 5s Gd to !>s : baconers, £2 Is to £.'! 6s.
We submitted an average catalogue of hiiles, skins, and tallow on Tuesday. Hides—The market advanced" for eons' and well-flayed ox.
