Wheat.—The market is weak and in- * active, owing to tbfe continuance of ' heavy shipments frorM America and the '• River Plate. Buyers!are disinclined iO ' operate, with the prospect for still lower ' prices. There is little inquiry for cargoes. Old Australian atloat U offering i at 38s and 395, new loading 38s, steamer parcels afloat 375. Australian spot has slumped to 40s. New Zealand nominally 38s to 40s for long-berried, and 37s :ci BBs for short-berried. The American riuble supply is 63,890,000 bushels. Flour.—Fkur is flat, owim; to ex<v--ahre supplies. WANGANUI RAM FAIR. <r - Far Press Association. | Wanganui, La»t Night. The Wanganui ram fair was continued to-aav. Uncolns sold very much on a par with the first day. and practical ly the whole entry was .piitted. In Lincoln flocks Mr. W. H. Wybourne again topped the market at 21 guineas, averaging £8 7s 9d. Mc*rs. McGregor Bros.' entrv made up to £ls 4s 6d. average £ll 12s. The highest average for Romneys was £5 4s. No stud sheep were offered to-day.
DCNEDIN WOOL SALE. Dunediii. l.:<-t Nicht. The third series of wool -ales was held to-day in the presence nt a representative attendance of buyer'. Pries for inferior wools were better than expected, but this competition, however, was not -extended to the lowest grade of matted wools and Ws containing fern and biddi pels. Bellies and locks, best sorts, practieallv maintained the Tames ruling at last sale, while heavy conditioned and seedy lots, sold slightly in buyer*' favor.
