FORESTERS' DISTRICT MEETING
The half-yearly meeting of the Taranaßi District Lodge of Forester- wn - held at Waitara on' Tuesday. The District officers present wvre:--l)istric'., Chief Ranger Bro. G. The annual report of the District Olliicrs for the half-year slated that th.' whole of the Courts in the district ha 1 Ijecn visited by one or more of the l)i~liict Olliier-. The District Oflicvrs d - sired to place on record the 10-s tin! Order had sustained throu»h the deal'i of the late Uro. S. W. Jackson, who h,i,l taken a keen interest in Fore-try aai held the position of trustee to Com' Taranaki for i-evcral years, and who waone of the oldest members in Taranaki. During the year the Order made an increase of :12 adult members in the di--Irict, and the increase of funds amounted to tl.'lTS 13. :id. The total number of memliers in ihe district wm 117:1 members, with funds amounting to £21.2.is 13s -2d. The amount ot sickness was BIS,'! week., an compared with 1)78 week* in the former year, showing an iuerea-c of Hi.'). The total amount of sick pay was .CTliti js id—an increase of £2<l(i 4s 2d on the previous year. The sum of .Cl2j had been paid in funeral monev. for three male members, one female member, and one mpinlier's wife. Bros. C. F. Foote, A.'ll. Arnold, anil ( . T. .Mills were re-elected District Auditois for the ensuing twelve months.
ft was resolved that the district should present Bro. X. folding with ;i Trustee's Jewel in recognition of services rendered during the past twentyfive years as a Trustee of the district." It was dee'ided to hold the next District Delegates' Meeting at New IMymouth.
