BARRISTER RELINQUISHING HIS BRIEF. SERIOUS ALLEGATIONS AGAINST THE GOVERNMENT. Received Oth, 5.15 p.m. London, February 8. Mr. Jellicoe, the ex-New Zealand bar* ristcr, is relinquishing his brief for Dink zulu, and returning to England. He complains of the dilatoriness of the legal procedure, and accuses thd Natal Ministry of interfering with the course of justice. _: He declares that he intends to do Ms utmost to persuade Lord Elgin, Secre< tary of State for the Colonies, to dis< allow the Indemnity 'Act sanctioning the martial la'w proceedings.
