NEWCASTLE'S DANGER. Sydney, February 7. Questions were asked in the Senate in respect to the £SOOO voted to the Niinrod Antarctic expedition. The Minister said the application for the grant had not been made by Professor David alone, but. representations had come from various sources. There was no reason to believe the expedition was a speculative venture, as was suggested in one of the questions.
