The New Plymouth Juniors met Fire Brigade on the West Knil ground yentcrday, and scored an easy win. The Brigade won the toss and elected to bat, but with the exception of llardwiek (10) could not master the bowling of G. W. utile and Anderson, who were in excellent form. They were disposed ol lor 33. New Plymouth started badly, losing Billing without a run having been scored, but at the fall of the second wicket had passed th? Itrigade total by seven runs. Whittle 27, I'ook 13. Petty 11, and Arden (i (not out) batted well for the town team, whose score reached 8.5. Fire lirigade in their second innings could do no better than formerly, and were disposed of for 32. This left the town juniors winners by an innings and 20 runs. H. It.
