GARRISON BAND CONCERT.
i m The Garrison Band gave its annual [ concert last evening in the Theatre ; Royal, There was a moderate attendt anee ■of the public, including a good sprinkling of the band's 'honorary members. The programme was a good one, including some choice instrumental and vocal items. A pleasing novelty was the introduction of Miss Carter's harp solos. .Master Ronnie Lints' gymnastic performance on the parallel bars was as popular as it was remarkable. The instrumental solos, trios, and quartettes were, very well rendered, and the full band selections showed that the band must be attending assiduously to its practice. The following programme was, rendered:—Selection, "Beauties of Ireland," the Band; song, Mr- Harris; harp solo, "The Bells of Aberdovy" (encored), Miss Carter; song, "Good Night," Miss Loesch; trombone solo, "Crystal Palace," Mr. A. Handle)'; comic song, "Eve, Eve" (encored), Mr. Farmer; gymnastio display, 'Master Lints; quartette, "Huguenots," Messrs Saunders (cornet), liovell (2nd cornet), Cave (tenor) and Sturmey (euphonium): song, "Simon the Cellarer," Mr. P. de la Haye; violin solo, "Cuckoo Dance" (encored), Herr Loesch; song. "Teach me" (encored), Miss Foley; cornet solo, "Adda Polka," Mr G. Saunders; trombone trio, "Sum' mcr's Day," Messrs T. Flyiin (solo), C. Pcarce (second), and Hundley (bass); harp solo, "Andulasia," Miss Carter; comic song, "The blow almost killed father" (encored), Mr. Farmer; selection. "Tarn o' Shunter," the Band. Messrs. Golding and Loesch played the accompaniments.
