THE ASTHENICS SHIPMENT. A FALLING-AWAY. Per Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Totals .. .. 37,459 10,331 These figures disclose a considerable falling-off in the totals shipped by the last fortnightly steamer. 'There are (1793 boxes of butter less and 2391 case* of cheese less—an indication of the fall-ing-off in the milk supply. Last season, however, there was a similar falling-off, but there was a big recovery in the next shipment. The figures for the corresponding shipment of last season were 37,071 boxes of butter and 8592 eases of cheese. This shows a slight fallingoff on Thursday's shipment of butter, but nearly a hundred per cent, increase in cheese. Owing to the increased cost of running steamers the two steamship companies trading lictween Wellington and ; Patea are raising freights as from tomorrow from 10s to 12s fid )>or ton.
