Notice is given that the offices of the Agricultural Department have been removed from Brougham street to Moturoa, adjoining the Freezing Works. At Mr Newton King's fruit mart today 400 boxes of assorted fruits will Ire submitted to auction. The sale commences at 2.30. Particulars ol a splendid property, 410 acres in extent, are advertised in Messrs Uilmour and Clarke's space on page 1. For the last four days of Morey's big sale the bargains in costumes will be the best ever offered by the firm. There are 40 ladies' tweed costumes of the latest shades and extra quality to te sold at 18s 6d, the usual prices of which were from £2 5s to Jt3 17s 6d. Ten ladies' white costumes are also being I offered at 3s lid each (usual prices 10s lid to 255). [ The Taranaki County Council invite tenders, to close- on February Ist, for purchase of wooden bridges. The Clifton County Council invite tenders, to dose on 7th February, for ten earthwork contracts. - The Education Board invite applications from candidates for appointment in the Board's schools.
Attention's directed to the advertisement of the Sacred Heart High School appearing in our columns. Last year's successes comprised three 6th standard proficiency certificates; one licentiate of the A.B. of .the R.A.M. R.C.M.; one certificated pianist T.C.M.; one advanced firade R.A.M.; one senior violin T.C.M.; besides three honors and !7 passes in practical examinations and six honors and seven passes in the thno.-y examinations in the various grades of the "Associated Board of the R.A.M. and R.C.M.," and "Trinity College of Music." An excellent way of making a slender purse do a lot of duty is to shop at Hookhnm's, the cash clothier. A visit will convince one of the truth of this statement.
