MUCH EXCITEMENT. Sydney, January 26. Much excitement was occasioned by . a tire at a powder magazine at the Ureat Oobar mine. The building contained 1750 pounds of explosives. The surface manager noticed the fire in time to warn all residents in the vicinity, and to post scouts to prevent anyone approaching. There was a tremendous explosion.
