The market is very firm in consequence of short stocks. The Copenhagen official quotation remains unchanged, and we do not expect any immediate change in prices. The total imports of butter into the United Kingdom for week ending ISth ititst. amounted to 111,000 cwt., *s compared with 113,000 cwt. for the corresponding week in 1907, showing a decrease of 7,000 cwt. Salted and unsalted 118s. Frozen Meat.—There is a slightly better demand for frozen meat, with the exception of secondary qualities, lint prices arc unchanged. Australian frozen lamb is lower by l / g d to >/ 4 d. New season's New Zealand lamb u'/od. Tallow.—The market is unsettled. Wool.—Owing to a thick fog no sales have been held to-day.
