CHEAP GKAPES. Wellington, Last Night. The Brat shipment of grapes from Australia is expected by the Winuncraon Wednesday. Fruit merchants here advised their friends in New South Wales, Victoria, and South Australia of the removal of the restrictions on Australian grapes, and the conditions under which they would be admitted were cabled. The Gazette notices were sent to grape-shippers by the Moeraki, which left for Australia on Friday. Local growers of grapes under glass feel the removal of the prohibition very keenly, especially as the Australian grapes will come in at a time when they will conH pete with the hothouse variety. One grower assured an Evening Post representative that if he could get 9d or lOd per lb for all his output during the season he would only just about pay expenses. ,

An adjournment was ordered until 11.30 to enable the work of the committees to be carried a step further. Interim reports were received from the medical, law and scholarship committees. Mr G.
