WEBSTER BROS.' REPORT. We held our usual fortnightly sale at Omata yesterday. Our yards were well-filled, but owing to the long spell of dry weather, bidding was not over brisk. Nearly all the pens changed, hands, however, at the hammer or privately- Prices as under:—Yearly steers t2 4s Od, do. heifers Sis to 365, empty heifers £2 10s to £2 18s Od, store cows £2 5s Od to £2 9s Od, forward do. £2 ltis to £3 2s 6d. TABANAKI WOOL, SKIN, HIDE AND TAIiLOW BALES. On Tuesday, 21st, 1 held my usual four-weekly sale. The catalogue comprised 1054 hides, 202U sheepskins, 1700 calfskins, 28 casks and 10 tins tallow, 70 bales, 12 pockets, aud 143 sacks wool, 130 sacks bones, and the usual assortment of horsehair, cowtails, etc There was a larger attendance of buyers than usual, anil in consequence competition was keen, practically everything being sold at the hammer. The prices for hides, e.-i>ecially heavies, showed a marked improvement, and on last sale cow advanced '/ 4 d to %d per lb, ox Id to l'/ 4 d. Tallow sold well at an advance of Is to Is Od per cwt. In wool there was a further drop, this being especially noticeable in coarser sorts. Sheepskins' were on a par with last sale, while calfskins were %& lower.
