Success attended the colonials in the first two minutes, Messenger* dropping a goal. The second half was marked' by a succession of brilliant for the JSew Zealanders. Great clev-' ernes® was shown by their backs, both in running. Another try* waa added by Bowe, while Messenger put on four goals. Making full allowance for the good play of the visitors, Yorkshire's play was extremely disappointing/' The Chronicle says:—"The teaniri wire thoroughly representative.
