A tlUborne resident lias invented a new patent shwp race for clipping purposes The pateut is on the lines of -in endless belt working on rollers, and covered transversely with wooden batteiw close together. The belt runs 011 a downward slope to the dip, and when once the sheep get on the slope their own weight keep* the belt revolving, and brings th<; others down behind them. The race is so narrow that, only one sheep can enter at a time, and a few turns of a handle starts the whole apparatus. After that it is only necessary for a man to stand \by the handle and regulate the machine's speed and prevent mishaps.
