SUIOOLMASTKII'S TKYI.NG EXPERIENCE. JSy Telegraph.—Own Correspondent, liahotu, Yesterday. .News reached here yesterday afternoon that Mr. '.), K. Law, schoolmaster at Manaia, had been lost in the bush since the preceding afternoon. It appears that Mr. \jnvt, who owns a section on the Ngariki road, had been looking over some bush that had recently been fallen, and on returning to the open discovered that he had lost his pocket-book. He went back to look for it, and as he did not turn up again that night Mr. J. Lawn, a neighbor, became anxious, and set out at daylight to search for him. Jlc searched until 3 p.m. without finding any trace of the missing man, and then came and informed Constable Kelly, who at once proceeded to the bush with Messrs. J. Jlall and A. Kelly, but as it was late tliey were unable to do anything tint evening. On Thursday morning at 4 o'clock a. large party left Bahotu to search the bush systematically under Constable. Kelly, Messrs. Phillips Bros., ■who know the bush well, being in the party. The party had been away some hours, when the news eaine that Mr. Law had turned up about 11 o'clock this morning at a settler's house on the Kina road, not much the worse for din trying experience of two nights in the bush. It was tearcd he had met with nn accident, as the bush fires had been through the country. News was at once sent to the seo/eh-pnrty. No particulars are yet to hand as to Mr. Law's experience in the bush.
