EXTEXSIOX OF TIME. Mary Williams applied for extension of time in which to reside on section •), block 5, Ohura.—The tenant must resido within three months, otherwise her interest will 1* forfeited.
ALLEGED EXCESSIVE REXT. •T. Telfar wrote declining a lease of section 65. township of Urentii, as the rent asked was excessive-Left in the hands oi the Commissioner. SPOTSWOOD. J. Barrow, ranger, submitted re-valua-tion of unallotted section in Spotswood Settlement, and made proposals' for »raethem.—Deferred. e
I FORFEITURES RECONSIDERED. The following setters, whose interests in leases had been 'forfeited for nonimprovements, applied for a re-hearim-of their respective cases:—C. F. and F. W. F. Marsh, section 5. block 16, Upper Waitara (unless required improvements are effected within six months, the forfeiture will lie confirmed) ; M. E. Petherifk. section 5. block .>. Wnro (forfeiture confirmed): .1. A. Ollivier, section 8, block 1. Opaku (forfeiture rescinded); ■I. A. Garlick, section 5. block 10, Mahoe (forfeiture to be confirmed if improvements are not effected within six months). NOX-COMPLIAXCE. A schedule of eight selectors who had not complied with conditions was laid on the table. REMISSION OF REXT. A petition was received from five tenants in the Huinga settlement, a«kingi for a remission of rent on account of non-completion of the metalling of the Raupuha road depriving them of the profits of the milling season for three months.—The petition will be forwarded for the favorable consideration of the Minister. •I. W. and 0. H. Etherington applied for remission of rent on section 3, block 11, Ohura, under the Bush and Swamp Act.—Refused. GENERAL. R. ODonnell applied for the issue of his lease of section 2, block 1, Aria.— Agreed to. A. Barnett's application to purchase the freehold of his le.ise-in-perpetuity of section 1, block 13, Aria, was held over until the necessary forms had been complied with. E. Townshend wrote offering to purchase section 8, block 10, Totoro. for a dairy factory site.—Action deferred. The ranger wili report upon the application of C. J. Riddle for the grazing on section 13, block 2, Aria, and section 7, block 10, Totoro. A plan of a further area for plantation reserve from section 2, block 0, Flawera, at the request of the lesse-»,
was laid on the table, and it was decided to amend the title accordingly. Mrs 0. H. Hope and B. McFarlanc applied for a further extension of time in which to reside on sections 4 and 8, block 9, Ohura, owing to the Road Department's deviation of the road frontage rendering it uncertain where to fence their clearing.—To reside within three months.
Mr C. E. Major, M.P., wrote on behalf of Mrs M. Hastie, asking that the forfeiture of sections 11, 15, IS, and 17, block 1, Taurakawa, be reconsidered, on account of tenant's illness.—Further action stayed for one month. W. M. T. Bell renewed his application to transfer section 93, block 8, Waimate, to D. P, Hurley and G. Hurley. Mr. J. E. Wilson waited on the Board
with the parties to the application.—The Board adhered to its previous resolution.
Mrs. M. Boyd waited on the Board and asked that the stumping elfected by her on section 3, block 8, Ngairc (Huinga settlement) be recorded. The ranger will report. Messrs. He-lop and Barron submitted tl.eir valuation of the improvements on ran 5. Opaku, and the Commissioner was empowered to re-offer the lands weighted with value of improvements I us reported.
