MINERS' EIGHT HOURS BILL. Received 21st, y p.m. London, January 21. The Glasgow Chamber of Commerce unanimously decided to petition Parliament against the Miners' Eight Hours Bill, alleging that its passing would reduce the coal production by 39 millions annually, represented by the increase in the cost of eighteeirpence per ton.
BRITAIN'S FISCAL POLICY. Received 21st, 0 p.m. London, January 21. Lord Avebury, speaking at Dundee, said that if all the rest of the world beeittne protectionists Britain would still be wise to remain a free-trade country.
