Wairoa, Monday. A man named Cobrett fell over ft cliff 150 i'eet high at Waikari, on the Napier-Wairoa road. He was killed in' stantly. It i 3 supposed that he missed the track in the dark.
Auckland, Last Night. News has been brought to Waiuku by a native that Captain Ragg, of tho steamer Freetrader, was drowned at Point. Waikato last night. It is believed that he slipped and fell overboard.
Ashburlon, Uist flight. Edward Martin, an employee 011 the Lagmlior Estate, sustained rather painful and serious injuries last Tlmrsdiy through being gored by a cow. He .wis struck in the abdomen by the horns r.f the beast, and was removed in a very scrioiw condition to the hospital, where he has suffered intensely, but is now making satisfactory progress.
