| WHERE IS IT? New York, January 17. Washington despatches report thai there is uneasiness owing to seusatioiifti reports regarding the distribution ol the Japanese fleet. 'Admiral Saih has cabled from Tokiol stating that he is willing to make ajn announcement as to the disposition of the fleet, if it is needed to allay excitement, but the rumor is hardly worthy of attention.

President Roosevelt, in thanking Dr Penna, the Brazilian President, for his hospitality to th e United States fleet' states that the American fleet existfr} only to protect the peace against posl* sible aggressions and justice against dobsible oppressions.
