ZULU DISTURBANCE.

MEMORIAL TO BRITISH PREMLiE, WILL NOT INTERFERE. London, January 16. Mr Holford Knight, on behalf of a small informal committee, presented a memorial to the Premier, Sir Henry Campbell-Bannerman, la relation to the policy of martial law in Zululand and the trial of Dinizulu, The reply given by tho Premier shows that Lord Elgin, Secretary for the Colonies, at the outset of the disturbances in Zululand offered certain suggestions, which Natal readily acceptincluded the public trial of Dinfaulu, Moreover, Sir Charles Saonders, Civil Commissioner of Zululand, had recommended -the course which had [ been pursued. Sir Henry prefers not to discuss the proposition that it could be necossary for the Government to take so serious a step as to advise his Majesty to disallow an Act of Indemnity after ijti had received the approval of such a colony as Natal, which was fully responsible for the maintenance of peace, order, and good government within Ka own borders.
