A GERMAN'S EXPLOITATION MOVE.
Masowah, Januarv 15. Under the pretext that he was conwith tile band of German noblemen visiting Abyssinia on a lion-shoot-ing expedition, Arnold Hold, the representative of German manufactures and banks, gained an audience of King Menelik. He asked for a concession to establish a bank at. Adis Abeba, also for a monopoly of the spirit trade and the right to run a motor service between Jubutil and Adis Abeba.. He promised King Menelik 10 per cent of the profits of the spirit monopoly.
