US THREATENED LOSS. Sydney, January 14. The Sydney Morning Herald, diseusibg the loss of the San Frandsoo mail service and the threatened loss of the Vancouver service, after referring to the rahie of theae line*, says:—"However, both Canada and the United Statea ■htmlil do more to establish adequate communication with us than we with Though Australia should do what ia reasonable to keep up both services, r 'ite should not undertake increased responsibilities."
