THE KOCHDALE HORNER MATCH.
Sydney, January 13. A London Daily Telegraph which has jnrt arrived contains the following commenta on the football match between the New Zealand professional* -and the Rochdale Hornets:—
"The New Zealanders gave a much Improved display, and gained an easy victory. The home dub commenced to attack strongly, and folly deserved to ■core, but they were evidently beaten! back, and for the rot of the game the colonials held the upper hand. In the fast atage Wynyard once and Rowe twice scored for the visitor*, and Messenger landed a goal. The second half favored the New Zcalandem almost to the same extent a* the tat, notwithstanding the splendid defease maintained by the nome side. Two goals and- a try were added."
