Mr Newton King's weekly sable from Sydney advises that hides are an eighth to a farthing higher, heavies arc scarce. The traffic on the Wanganui river tourist route this season is exceptionally heavy. Pipiriki with its fine thermal baths ami medicinal spring, so highly reported on by Dr AVohlmann, Government Balneologist at RotoruA, last .June, is quite an additional attraction. Numbers of people arc staying at Pipiriki House so as to avail themselves of the line "Wai-ora" (living water) drinking spring. The unique houseboat, with its tine appointments, has also became a favorite stopping place. May now stay there by reason of the comfort provided, and ihs beautiful restful surroundings. An excellent appreciative article appeared in the last issue of tho Red Funnel Magazine on the "Wanganui River Route."
