AUCKLAND TOURNAMENT. Per Press Association. Auckland, Saturday Night. The Auckland lawn tennis championship meeting wan continued to-day in tine weather. Results:— Men's Championship Singles—Final: A. Upton beat j. P. Grossman. 7—5, 6—o, 6—o. Ladies' Championship Singles—Final: Miss A. Gray beat Miss D. Udy, 6-2 6-1.
For the final of the Men's Doubles Championship, Dr Keith and A. Brown meet Paterson and Upton next Saturday. The final for the Ladies' Double Chamionpship rests between Mrs Cooper and Miss Harvey, and Mrs Mair and Miss Hull. The semi-finals in the Combined Doubles was not concluded to-day. WELLINGTON TOURNAMENT. Per Press Association. Wellington, ]>ast Night. The finals of the remaining events on the. programme of the Wellington Lawn Tennis .Association's tournament were played yesterday on the Thorndon Club's courts. The weather was again perfect, and the games were watched with interest by a large number of spectators. Following are the results:— Men's Championship Singles. Semifinal: R. N. K. Swanston beat H. V. Howe, 6-4, 6—2. Final: U. N. K. Swanston beat G. OUiver, 6—2, 6-4. Ladies' Championship Singles.—Final: Mrs. Hickson beat Miss Williams, 6—2, 6-0. Combined Championship Doubles. Semi-final: Miss Marchant and H. M. Gore beat Miss Hiekson and G. Olliver. 6—3. 6—4. Final: Mrs. Hickson and R. N. K. Swanston beat Miss Marchant and H. M. Gore, o—4. 6—o. Ladies' Championship Doublet*.—Final: Mrs. Hickson and Miss E. Williams beat Misses Hickson and J. Scott, 6—o, 6—l.
