As tne above were indications of milk fever, J. gave her a dose of Sykes's Drench, and remembering that oxygen pumped into was a remedy, I got a bicycle pump and with the part that fits in the rubber tyre of the bike added, I pumped the four quarters of the udder lull of air. We hail to support her in the bail while doing this. When we lelt her out she staggered a few yards and fell down. About twenty minutes afterwards, however, to my surprise she was on her feet again, and much better. By () o'clock that night she waa resting comfortably. Next morning at 4.3U o'clock she was up and feeding. That evening I got 151bs of milk from her, and she is now back to her usual flow of milk, and as well as she ever was. I have now had eighteen years' dairy farming, and have seen cows die, and cows recover in time, but in this instance the quick recovery was simply marvellous.—l am, etc., J. W.
