VISITING AUSTRALIAN TEACHERS.
Per Press Association. Wellington, Last Xight, A complimentary smoke concert was tendered to-night to the visiting teachers Jronili™- South Wales, who are to leave lor Manganui in the morning J[r p 11. Bakewell, Assistant-Inspector of ■Schools in the Wellington Education District, presided. In proposing the health of the visitors, lie said he hoped [ to see the tune when a man who liad quahhed as a teacher would receive a certificate which would bo accepted in ■m.v part of the British dominions. Mr. I Bakewell also spoke in favor of a uniform syllabus. Mr. Deer, the manager, replied on behalf of the visitor*, and expressed the hope that a party of Xew /ea and teachers would visit New South Hales next year.
