Lieutenant T. Herd, of Wellington, ha., been elected judge for the North Island l'.rass Hand Contest to be held at New Plymouth in February, PIOS. .Mr. It. Crockett, noxious weeds inspector, who was a practical and successful dairy factory manager in T'aranaki a year or iwo ago, and has recently U:cn selected an one of the new dairy inspectors, has been appointed to the Wanganui district, and takes up his duties at the beginning of the year.
