Per Press Association. -r,i , i'' Dlmedin . Last Night. I lie first wool sale of the Dunedin " season was held to.-day, when 4680 bales were ollered. Bidding for heavy and' wasty wools was. JifelSss, but for lightconditioned wools it . was brisk. Prices were much lower than "at the opening' stile last season.' The range' of prion realised was Super halfbred lid'to ■ l -'j, »»edium to good B%d to' 10>/gd lnfe.ntfr 7d to B'/jd, super crossbred lOd to 11% d, good 8d to o'/ 2 d, medium o%d to 7'/.d, inferior S'/od to B'/.<L super long wool B>/,d to lOd, best merino up to ll%d, medium to good 0d to lOy.di inferior 7%d to B%d. Pieces, bellies, and locks sold at. a fall of 2d to 2%d. June bales sold by Donald Reid and Go. on account of William Hay, of Roniahapa, realised W/ S i per lb-a record far for the season.
