RAUOTU. (From Our Own Correspondent.) A meeting of the sports committee was held on Saturday evening, Mr. I. (iarcia presiding. (Jood nominations have been received for the chops, including ( . ■Miley, the Australian cliampion. The Xe'w Plymouth Military Band of eighteen players has lieen engaged for the sports. The following tender* were accepted:—Blocks, A. E. Magon; dummies. R. Hill: refreshment booth, Cain and Co., Te Kiri. Mr. A. W. Hood, the popular host of' the Rahotu Hotel, is adding six rooms to his establishment. For some time past he has found his accommodation too small, and if Rahotu continues to progress as at present it will not be long before further additions are required.
