Friends, —Now that Christmas and New Year will soon be here—a time when especially peace ''and goodwill should reign amongst us—l would implore you, in the name of those who are sick and ailing—and they are many —in the name of our lonely, nervous 'Women and children, not to disturb the peace, nor make night hideous by your nocturnal, house-to-house visits, upsetting, and causing discomfort, to persons in the condition 1 have named. t know that you mean no barm, but 1 also know that, through your thoughtlessness. \on have for some years now caused in several Sew Plymouth homes, in some cases annoyance and in others fear ami consternation.. If you must solicit gratuities, solicit them in the daycaused in several Xcw Plymouth homes, Cine, when your solicitations are much dead if night. Disturb not the peace and rc-t of the community by making midnight and early morning iniportunit:cs. Remember .that even at Chrstmas and X>w Year times people are entitled to have their proper rest and sleep. I have been told by a legal friend of mine that Mich conduct as yours has. time and again, been restrained by the English Law Courts.—l am, etc.,
