AN JNTKRPRKTATION. Per Press Association. Dargaville, Friday. The secretary of the Kaihu liack Racing Club has received the following telegram from the Premier:— "'Hack and pony races are horse races within the Act. ami it in legal for stewards at such meetings to license bookmakers under the Act. if there is a totalistaor permit for such meetings; if there is not a lotalisator permit, under section 34 of the Act, stewards can admit or exclude bookmakers just as thev think fit." -J. G. Ward."
