UPROAR IN THE REICHSTAG. PARTY RECRIMINATION. , COUNT BUELOW THREd.T..N.- TO RESIGN. Received December 5, 11 p.m. Berlin, December 6. Herr Hermann Paasche, the National Liberal vice-president of the Diet, startled the Reichstag ,liy offering to produce Hohenau's compromising letters submitted to a Potsdam Court Martial twenty-four hours before. General Vonelnem stated that nothing was proved against Hohenau. The uproar increased by Herr Lattnian, anti-Semitic, remarking that Herr Paasche's son was engaged to Herr I Harden's niece.
London, December 5. The Daily Telegraph explains that Herr Harden's daughter is engaged to' Herr Witting, a bapker, and one of the ablest National Liberal Deputies in the Prussian Diet.
Berlin, December 5. Herr Eincui's reply, reiterating his previous statement and minimising the meaning of Hohenau's letter, and adding that Hohenau and Lynar placed themselves at the disposal of the Court of Inquiry, led to an abrupt adjournment of the debate, brought about by the votes of the Bloc, consisting of Conservatives, National Liberals, AntiSemites and Radicals. The Bloc usually support the Government. •** ' .: '■■ The Social Democrats asked tko reason of the adjournment. Herr Bassermann said that it was to study Herr Einem's reply. The North German Gazette lifts the veil, and explains that before Herr Einem's reply, Count Buelow, summoning the leaders of the Bloc, informed them that it was impossible to continue the general policy of the Government if the elements attack the Government and each other. He suggested an adjournment to enable the Bloc to consider the position. Bloe journals declare that Count Buelow threatened to resign unless they would harmoniously Bupport*Jrim. London December 5. Reuter declares'that the main queation is that appertaining to taxation. The National Liberals favour direct taxes; the Federal Coirnetl oppoies.
