There was a fair i attendance during the afternoon, and greater inroads were made upon the stock of salcables and eatables than had been expected. At night large numbers were present, and excellent business was done, so that the missions should benefit considerably. The two organisers, Misses Ambury ami Lewis, had a Strom' committee, and the workers were distributed to conduct the "tree," stalls of various kinds, tea rooms, and guessing competitions. These were "manned" as billows:— Christmas tree, Misses Ambury, Black, Oxenhani, I. Okey, and E. Colba; refreshments and sweets, Misses Lewis I. Buckman, E. Keys, A. Avann, ami h. Okey; afternoon tea, Misses E. Ihidder, E. Carter, E. Catran, M. Cannell, Harre, and Veale; llowcr stall, Misses i\ Avann and I. Davidson; proI 'luce, Masters 11. MeGahey and C. Bulot; bran tub, Misses Gladys Brooke,
