TARANAKI HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.
At a committee meeting of the above society there wore present—The Presideal [.Mr. J. t'aion), Mcsdanics Dockrill, Patcm. and Morri-011, Misses 11. Smith, TV-tar, lleinplon, and K. Percy-Smith, .Mc--rs. Worlhington, McCahey, and (jib-on, and Colonel Messenger. Jhe secretary announced that all judges, the majority of whom are from outside Mew Plymouth, had accepted Oflict.
It was reported that Messrs. 1/aird, of Wanganui, and Wciglitniau. of Ahuriri, intend to have exhibitions at the show. These displays should prove an especial attraction.
All preliminary arrangements have now been completed for the annual show, which i- to be held on Thursday next. PerryV orchestra has been engaged to play during the evening. No extra charge is to be made for the dress circle seats. Afternoon tea will be obtainable during Thursday afternoon. There is every reason to believe the society's reversion to the Theatre for the sliow will meet with the approval of patrons, and the attendance should -how a hi;.' increase on that of recent years. .
