MR. NEWTON KING'S WEEKLY AUCTION REPORT. At the Haymarket on Saturday there was a good entry of young pigs, prices for slips ranging from 8s Gd to 13s Od; small stores, 14s Gd to IDs; porkers, 32s (id. Horses sold at from CI 5s to .€5.

At the mart a large quantity of poultry cam:' in, and prices continued good, hens making Is (id to 2s 2d; pullets, 2s to 2s (id; roosters, 2s 4d; chicks, Gd to Is: ducklings, Is Id: ducks, 2s to 2s 4d. A quantity of furniture and sundries sold at prices favourable to the buyers. A Ilopkinson piano realised £4O, and an American organ £ls. On Monday I Jield a clearing sale of furniture on account of Mr. H. M. Skeet. There was only a moderate attendance, and bargains were numerous. The cows realised £3 12s Ud and £5 ss.

Fruit—At salon during the -week, bananas made Ss to 10s; lemons, ss; new potatoes, 2d to 2%d; green peas, -ad to Is; tomatoes, Hd to 9'/ 2 d; cabbages, 2s (id: parsnips, 2s lid; beet, 4s. Cattle—At Waiwakaiho on Tuesday mixed yearlings made 355; yearling steers. 40s to 48s fid; two to two and a half year steers, £3 3s to £3 18s; empty heifers, 30s to £2 0s; heifers springing, .12 12s fid to £3 10s; springing cows. £3 to ,C(i 17s fid; store cows, £2 5s to £3 ss; bulls, £2 10s to £4.

L. A. XOT.AX AXD C.'O.'S REPORT. Messrs. h. A. Xolan and Co. report:— We hud a fair average penning of poultry last Saturday, and prices realised were about ecpial to last week's. Good table birds are selling well. We quote: Hens. Is (id to 2s 4d; chicks, 3d to 4d; ducks. Is (id to 2s lid ducklings, Is to Is lid; geese, 3s 3d. Several consignments of fruit came forward, and were quitted at the undermentioned latest —Apples, American winesaps, His to 17s; bananas, green, 7s fid to 8s ltd; ripe, 10s Od ; American oranges, 14 to Hi doz. in a case, 18s fid to 19s; strawberries, 9V 2 d to Is per lb.

WEBSTER BROS.' REPORT. Our usual sale of poultry and sundries was well attended on Saturday. Prices as under:—Fowls Is (id to Is l)d, pullets Is <M to 2s 2d, ducks Is i)d to I>s 4d, chicks 4d, ducklings Bd. Pigs—We held our lirst sale in our new pens on Saturday. Weaners made !)s to 10s lid.

Furniture—On Tuesday we had a very successful Side of furniture' on account of ilr. A. 11. Williams, when all lots sold at satisfactory prices to both parties. Oniata—Yesterday we held our usual sale of cattle at our Oniata yards, when, despite Pahotu clashing, we had our yards well filled, and every pen, save two. was cleared at the hammer or privately. Prices -were a shade better as under:—Yearling heifers 27s fid to 3.">s, mixed yearlings 30s to 325, yearling steers 38s to 435, empty heifers 41s to 4fis store cows 45s to 535, forward cows £2 15s to £3, Jersey springing heifers £« 12s Cd to £7. springers £3 to £4 15s, old cows 25s to 325, bulls £2 lis to £0 Is. Wc had a record muster ef cattle at our Urcnui yards on Monday, over 1000 head being Yarded. Kidding was fairly keen and most lines were sold, either at tin- hammer or privately. At Wnitara on Tuesday the following prices were obtained:—ls-month Jersey heifers 30s to 37s Gd, heifer calves 225, steer calves 255, fat cows £4 10. springing heifers GOs to 70s, store eows 23s to 41s, cows and calves 575, bulls 555. horses £ll 2s Gd to £ls, trap £7 2s 'Gd. Last night's London official market report states that steady trade is doing in butler, at unchanged prices, choicest New Zealand being quoted at 118s to 120s.
