MRS HAMILTON'S STORY. London, November 28. Continuing her evidence, Mrs Hamilton said that in lHBli she met Druce at Kuston. She remarked: "1 thought yi.u were dead and buried." He replied: "Well, lam myself again." He seemed annoyed at being addressed as Druce. j He showed her a bundle of handkerchiefs ; with a coronet worked by his wife Annie, which had much annoyed him. He used Mrs Hamilton's seizors to cut the coronets off. He burnt most of them. She recovered and kept one for some , years. She had only burnt it when she was told that there would be no Druce cai-e. She last saw Druce in 1871). He then remarked: "I am about to die." She said: "I hope you have repented of your sins."

Cross-examined, Mrs Hamilton admitted that her baptism certificate described her as the daughter of Robert and Isabella Atkinson. She had benefited under the will of Mrs Atkinson, her mother. She liad left her grandmother, when 14 years of age, and come to London alone to seek her father. When looking through a window in the Raker-street bazaar, she had recognised Druce, whom she had never seen l>efore, by a photograph. He came out to her. lie provided f»r her until her father returned from the Continent. The case will be resumed on Friday.
