_ 9 Mr J. A. Gilruth, Chief Government Veterinarian, will bo a visitor to the Agricultural Show to-day. Mr GilrntL, in proposing the health of the secretary of the Agricultural Society last night, compared him tojhe mainspring of a watch, The toast was perhaps the most enthusiastically received in the whole cyening. A graceful act on the part of Mr Buchanan and the members of the Agricultural Society was the honoring of the toast of the health of Mr AV. £.. Hulke, who was one of the founders of tha Society and a splendid worker Mr Newton King, the president, acknowledged the thoughtfaluess of Mr Buchanan, and regretted that at present Mr iiulke was lying seriously ill. The New Zealand Gazette of 21st November states that the following gentlemen have been appointed members of the Egiuout National Park Board:— .Messrs. W. A. Cullis (New Plymouth Borough Council), J. It. Hill (TaranakiCounty Council), A. 11. Moore (Opunake Town Board), and F. \V. Wilkie (Hawera County Council). The following gentlemen were yesterday elected members of the Taranaki Hospital and Charitable Aid Board:— Messrs. Bellringer and Brown (New Plymouth Borough), Brown, Andrews, and Hill (Taranaki County Council), McDonald (Inglewood and Waitara Boroughs). The nominees of the Clifton and Egiuont County Council were not available yesterday, but it is probable that Messrs. C. O'Sullivau (Clifton) and James Burgess (EgmonlJ will take ollke again.
