DREYFUS DRIVEN TO RESIGN.
BOYCOTTED BY HIS BROTIIEII OFFICERS. Paris, September 25. Major Alfred Dreyfus has sent in his papers, and is no longer in thcFreuch Army. Major Dreyfns's health has been bad for some time, but the real reason for his retirement is the fact that, in spite of his acquittal by the highest court in France, his brother officers refused to have anything to do with him, and made his life a burden. At first Major Dreyfus absolutely refused to notice the moral quarantine in which he was placed, but eventually it told upon him. His friends, M. Joseph Kcinaeh and General Picquart were lioth of them certain that it was best for many reasons that the Major should send in his papers, but they have had the greatest difficulty in persuading him to do so. It is an open secret that he would have continued to Tefuse had not his wife feared that his health would break down altogether, and joined her persuasion to that of M. Reinach and the Major's other friends.
