NEW PLYMOUTH POULTRY ASSOCIATION.
The annual meeting of t'uc New Plymouth Poultry Associatiou was held on Tuesday night. Mr S. Oliver presided. The annual report stated last year's show was not a iiuancial success, but it is anticipated tha'. the coming season will see a considerable revival in poultry matters. The chief item showing a full, iug off of revenue was the hiro of pens. The amount, received from this source was only £3 ss, as against £27 last sea. sou. Prom this it was evident that the present price charged by the Society was considered too high. This required con. sideratioD, as one of tke biggest sources of revenue had been removed. The bank balance was £ls 10s Id, against which there were liabilities of £2U. I'he balance of assets over liabilities was £52 l(is Id, During the year the annual meeting of the North Island Poultry Association had been held at JNew Plymouth, and a great many changes had been made in the Association. The headquarters were now at Hawera. It was with regret that the committee announced that .the present secretary would be unable to continue in the position of secretary. He was, however, willing to hold the position until a new secretary was appointed and until the Society was out of debt. The report and balance-sheet were adopted. The following ollicers were elected : Patron, Mr K. Doeknll; president, Mr J.Hurh; vice-presidents, Messrs .Newton King, Steed, and W. licale ; committee, Messrs J. Tippins, E P, liuliot, A. T. Moore, P. W. Stanford, H. Tiplady, S. .Brooks, and K. Prouiont; auditor, Mr U. T. Mills ; secretary, Mr J. Clarke; treasurer, Mr it. W. Dixon,
