TO-DAY'S SHOW.

Pair weather is ail that is necessary to ensure the success of to-day's show. Good entries, though not a huge advance on last year's, will provide fanners and fanciers with much food for criticism, thought, and discussion. Some of the best horses and cattle in the Dominion will be competing, and it will be interesting even for the townsman to compare these with the weeds so common in our streets and on our farms. It is this introduction of superior stock that is needed for the success of the district, and as the holding of shows is ii great encouragement to breeders to raise and import the best strains, it behoves everyone—farmer or otherwise —to give the show every support. The modest shillings paid at U, e gates, when paid in sulliciem numbers, will materially aid the society in presenting an even more attractive prize-list in the luture. The amusement of the people will be well catered for. Sideshows are very numerous this year. Leaping competitions and pony rates should provide some escifing entertainment. TO-DAY'S ITXTUBES.
