A BANKRUPT'S DISCHARGE
<► Per Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. In the Bankruptcy Court to-day, St, Oeorge Edward Dowsing applied for his discharge. Bankrupt, who is employed in the Land and Income Tax Department, admitted that he had tiled in order to escape payment of costs granted in an undefended case brought against him by a creditor for slander. Bankrupt considered that he and not the creditor was tin? injured party. His Honor said he could not grant an unconditional discharge, and ordered bankrupt to pay .C 25 within twelve months, payment to be made in quarterly instalments.
