A WELL-DESERVED SENTENCE.
Tor Press Association. Wellington, Saturday. At the Supreme Court to-day, Edward Murtagh, who had been found' guilty of wounding a child by cutting its leg with a razor, and also of assulting its mother, with whom prisoner had lived for three years, was sentenced to eighteen months' imprisonment with hard labor.
