ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
Per Press Association. Gore, Saturday. David lletear, a farmer, was found unconscious at the Waikaia bridge Inst night. He died this morning. TJie cause is unknown.
Invercargill, hast Night. Bertie James Dawson, aged six years, was killed by a home falling on him at Waikiwi on Saturday. His thirteen-year-old sister saw the accident. Tho boy was riding the horse, and the reins got under its feet. It reared and the boy fell off, the horse falling on him and crushing his head. His sister pulled him from under the horse and carried him towards the house, where the mother met her. Blood was bubbling from the boy's mouth, and he neither spoke nor moved. When the doctor arrived the boy was dead. At the inquest the usual verdict was returned.
Wellington, Last Night. A married woman named Moore fell down a flight of stairs to the public gallery in the Supreme Court yesterday, about 18ft. Her face was cut a good deal, and she was taken to the hospital. Gerald Dee, a single man, slipped wliilc attempting to board a moving tramear last night. He was dragged some distance and a wheel passed over the upper part of his left leg. No bones were broken. Dee was sent to tho hospital.
Henry W. Hutt, aged 56, an unmarried man, died suddenly at Worser Bay last night, it is supposed from heart disease. Hutt, who came here from Nelson about six weeks ago, is said to have had a sister living at Palmerston -North, and his father is at Ashburton.
