PARLIAMENT.
LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL. Per Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Council resumed at 2.1111 p.m. The (laming Act Amendment Bill from the House of Representatives was read a scuond time and committed. The Council resumed at 7.30 p.m. The (laming and Lotteries Bill was read a third time and passed, with amendments. The Council rose at 8.15.
HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES. in the House of lieprescntatives the amendments by the Council to the public Service Superannuation Bill were agreed to. The Premier intimated that he proposed to look into teachers' superannuation during the recess, with a view to introducing legislation next session, but he thought the tcichers should have been kept separate from the Public Service Classification Bill.
The House adjourned at 5.30 p.m. In the House of Representatives the Railways Classification Bill and the Christehurch District Drainage Act Amendment Bill were read a third time and passed. The Water Supply Act Amendment Bill and Railway Authorisation Bill were read a second time. The Shops and Offices Act, Amendment Bill j was put through committee.
