Council met at 2.;! l) p.m. The Attorney- (leneral moved tlio, second reading of tlie Native Land Settlement Hill. The debate proceeded nntu 5 o'clock, when tlio Council adjourned till 7.30. The Council resumed at 7.30 p.m. The necond reading of the Native Land Hill was agreed to by 25 to 2, put through committee, read n third time, ami li.v 24 to 1. The Council rose at 0.30 till 11 a.m. to-morrow.

HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES. In the llonsc of Representatives a motion to go into committee on the naming and Lotteries Act was carried by 50 to 2. The House adjourned at 5.30 p.m. _ In the House, the Gaming and Lotteries Bill was taken in committee.
