Pretoria, November 10. Eleven hundred free Chinese storekeepers in the Transvaal have petitioned the Chinese Minister in London protesting against the Asiatic Registration Act. The Art, they say, imposes a degrading inspection and reduces them to a lower level than the African natives. Such treatment is only fit for slaves. Ihey are trilling to submit to voluntary registration. If registration is enforced, they claim to be repatriated with full compensation. A SHIPLOAD FOB HOME. c - Durban, November 19.
