Per Tress Association. Wellington, Wednesday. At the Supreme Court to-day Robert Humphries, aged 63 years, was sentenced to three years' imprisonment on a charge of indecent assault on a little girl. - Wellington, Last flight. At the Supreme Court to-day, Frcdk. Nicolaus was found guilty of forgin" and uttering and obtaining goods by false pretences.. He was remanded till to-morrow for sentence, Emily Hyland, a domestic servant, charged with forgin" the name of her employer to a cheque for £2 10s, was found not guilty. Cliristchurch, Wednesday. John Ivesou and Grace Hutcheson were, charged" with forging a promissory note £24 purporting to be signed by Daniel Hutcheson, her husband. Iveson lodged with them, and the woman sent him to pay a bill for £2 10s to a moneylender. He came back with what slur thought was the receipt, saying she would have to sign a bill of sale and she signed, but got no money. The jury convicted Iveson, who got nine mouths' imprisonment. Cliristchurch, Last Night. At the Supreme Court to-day Thomas Kobert O'Callaghan was acquitted on a charge of arson. William Frederick Borland, convicted of entering with intent to commit a crime, was ordered to come up for sentence when called upon.
