TE WHITI.
THE TANUI PROCEEDING. Up till a late hour last night nothing had been decided ai Parihaka as to the interment ol' the deceased prophet. The natives desire to keep tiic body, loi' ceremonial reasons, as long as possible, but sanitary reasons dictate an early burial, and it is not improbable that the interment may take place to-day, although Thuiodry is more favored. Trouble has already arisen over the place of burial. The family desire that the body be interred in front of Te Whiti's house, and to cement the top of the grave in order that desecration to secure the valuables proposed to be I placed ill the grave may be guarded against; while the Te \\ hiti-iteß are in favor of interment in the buryinggrounds. Great quantities of food arc being accumulated for the tangi which is now proceeding. Large numbers of natives continue to arrive from all parts of the province, but up till last night the influx had not been quite so extensive as had been anticipated. The Puniho Brass Band (native) is' "enlivening" the obsequial ceremonies from the marae.
